Understanding the directory

Each practitioner's listing includes color-coded letters indicating their Soul Surfing credential tier, any applied clinical training hours, and their personal ketamine experiential training. Use this legend to interpret each listing.

Credential tiers

  • FTFoundational TrainingThe foundational training covering ketamine education and the Soul Surfing KAP approach to assessment, preparation, facilitation, and integration.
  • CPAPCertified Psychedelic-Assisted PsychotherapistCompleted Foundational Training, at least one KAP experience as a participant, and at least one KAP facilitation with consultation from a Soul Surfing Certified Consultant.
  • CSSPCertified Soul Surfing PractitionerMet all CPAP requirements, plus six personal ketamine sessions, in-depth consultation on at least one KAP case, and demonstrated efficacy in the Soul Surfing core competencies.
  • CSSCCertified Soul Surfing ConsultantA Certified Soul Surfing Practitioner who provides consultation and mentoring to practitioners pursuing certification.

Applied clinical training

  • # SHShadowed KAPShadowed ketamine-assisted psychotherapy facilitation provided by a Soul Surfing Certified Practitioner. The number indicates sessions completed.
  • # CONConsultation-supported facilitationFacilitated KAP with consultation from a Soul Surfing Certified Consultant. The number indicates sessions completed.

Example: CSSP · 4 SH · 1 CON · 6 IM indicates a Certified Soul Surfing Practitioner who has completed 4 sessions shadowing KAP facilitation, 1 session facilitating KAP with consultation, and 6 personal intramuscular ketamine sessions.
